A Thirty Day Retreat is an individually directed retreat using the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola consisting of prayer, silence, and one-on-one spiritual direction. Those interested in a thirty day retreat are usually those in need of spiritual renewal or at a transitional or turning point in their life. It is best to have had experience with a shorter directed retreat and spiritual direction.
The retreatant agrees to enter into silence at the start of the retreat (including meal times). Arrangements are made to be conducive to this environment and private space is offered for the most optimal experience. The silence helps one to grow in prayer and relationship with God as the Scriptures are contemplated.
